GOP Speaker’s Race:

In related political news, the race for the Speaker of the House is intensifying. Majority Leader Steve Scalise and Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan have emerged as the main contenders. Scalise has garnered support from Majority Whip Tom Emmer and is favored by moderate Republicans. On the other hand, Jordan, a founding member of the House Freedom Caucus, enjoys strong support among conservatives.

Donald J. Trump has publicly endorsed Jim Jordan, stating, “Jim Jordan is the leader we need.” However, it’s worth noting that approximately two-thirds of the GOP conference has yet to declare their support for either candidate.
