Candidate List

The participating candidates include Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, former Vice President Mike Pence, Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina, former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley, former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy. Notably absent from the forum will be former President Donald Trump, the current frontrunner in GOP primary polls, who has indicated his intention to skip the debates due to his significant lead.

“I’m leading by 40 points. A lot of people say, ‘Why would you do a debate when you have people at two and three and fifteen and fourteen [percent]?’” Trump told John Catsimatidis, host of the “Cats & Cosby Show” on WABC 770.

The presidential forum, live-streamed via The Blaze TV and YouTube, will provide one-on-one conversations between Tucker Carlson and each candidate, offering an informal setting for discussions and Q&A sessions. While specific topics and questions have not been released, the forum promises to provide valuable insights into the candidates’ positions and visions for the future.

This forum serves as a prelude to the Republican National Committee’s official debate, scheduled for August 23 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It presents an opportunity for the participating candidates to showcase their ideas and engage with voters ahead of the primary season.

Media coverage and live streaming play a crucial role in engaging the audience and shaping public opinion. The partnership between Blaze Media and The FAMiLY Leader, along with Tucker Carlson’s prominent role as the moderator, will undoubtedly attract attention and provide a platform for viewers to assess the candidates’ performances and positions.

As the primary season progresses, the dynamics of the race may shift, particularly with Donald Trump’s commanding lead in the polls. However, the presidential forum offers a chance for the other candidates to present themselves as viable alternatives and gain support from voters. With each candidate appearing individually, the forum allows for focused discussions and a more personalized approach to address the concerns and interests of voters.
