Miami, FL – The third Republican presidential primary debate will take place in Miami, Florida, in early November, according to sources familiar with the event.
Third Republican Presidential Primary Debate Details
A source told CNN that NBC News and Salem Media are reportedly discussing hosting the debate in Florida in early November. The Republican National Committee (RNC) has not officially announced the date and time of this GOP event, nor have they specified the qualifications for participation.
At one point, the RNC considered the University of Alabama as a potential debate site.
The Miami venue is significant, being the home state of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and in close proximity to former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence, which is located in Palm Beach, approximately 70 miles from Miami.
Despite rumors suggesting that negotiations were taking place to encourage former President Trump’s attendance, both the RNC and the Trump campaign denied such reports.
Trump recently stated in an interview with former Fox News host Megyn Kelly that he is unlikely to attend future debates, questioning the rationale behind it.
“I don’t see it,” Trump said in the interview released Thursday. “Why would I do it?”
This third Republican Presidential Primary debate follows the first 2024 GOP debate in Milwaukee last month and the second debate scheduled for September 27 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California.
As of now, the Republican National Committee has not released the candidate qualifications for the Miami debate.
Political observers are eagerly awaiting further details as the GOP candidates prepare for what promises to be a significant event in the battleground state of Florida.
